St. Ignatius Brown Bag Lunch Weekend is a year-round outreach program aimed at helping to feed the hungry, by providing homemade sack lunches donated by parishioners each month.
On the next to last full weekend of each month, empty lunch bags are distributed at the church entrances.
The following weekend, homemade lunches consisting of a sandwich, cookies, and a snack are deposited in the baskets at the entrances of the church at all weekend Masses.
These lunch bag donations are then delivered to feed the men and women serviced by the St. Vincent de Paul Society Shelter. On average, 250 lunches a month are donated by the generous members of this parish.
All are invited to participate in this monthly program by donating a homemade sack lunch.
