From November 4 to November 20, the Las Vecinas Silent Auction will be open online! This is our primary fundraiser each year to support the works of our sister parish, Parroquia San Antonio, in Soyapango, a poor suburb of San Salvador. All proceeds will be used to support vocational workshops (bakery skills, tailoring/dressmaking, event decoration and crafts, and English instruction), student scholarships, disaster relief, and other social ministry programs. Thank you in advance for your support!
Online Silent Auction: The funds we raise through this event support vital social ministries at San Antonio Parish, in El Salvador, including student scholarships, a variety of job training programs, and a food distribution program.
Las Vecinas de El Salvador is a joint social ministry of St. Ignatius Church and San Antonio Parish in Soyapango, San Salvador. As sister parishes, we are committed to strengthening our friendship and working together in support of peace with justice by:
Educating ourselves and our community about El Salvador, her people, and our sister parish
Building and renewing the ties between our parishes through ongoing communications, delegations, and other visits between the parishes
Organizing activities that advance peace with justice and strengthen the well-being of our communities, especially for women and immigrants
Raising funds for scholarships, job training programs, and other community-building projects
Uniting in prayer, the Eucharist, and other expressions of faith
