Donate a Pie!

The St. Ignatius Shelter Meal Program is once again coordinating a Thanksgiving pie drive for Bayview Senior Services. Please consider donating a pie or two to Bayview's Thanksgiving meal.  Pies can be dropped off Sunday 11/20 before 10 a.m. Mass starting at 9:45 a.m. and just after 10 a.m. Mass until 11:30 a.m at the Parker St. entrance of the church. Sign up to donate using the above link, or you can also choose to donate money to purchase pies from Yvonne’s Southern Sweets, a local bakery in San Francisco's Bayview Hunters Point neighborhood that specializes in sweet potato pies. A monetary contribution to buy a pie from Yvonne’s Southern Sweets helps Bayview Senior Services AND supports a local minority owned business. One pie is $25. Any donation amount is appreciated and will go towards purchasing pies from Yvonne’s.

This year, Bayview is preparing to serve over 1,000 Thanksgiving meals at three senior centers located in San Francisco - Western Addition Senior Center, Rosa Parks Senior Center, and the Dr. George W. Davis Senior Center.  We are aiming to deliver 100+ homemade or bakery-purchased pies.  Thank you for helping make this Thanksgiving special for so many!
