RCIA Sponsor Workshop

Would you be interested in being a sponsor to one of our current Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) participants? If so, or if you are just curious about what being a sponsor entails, come to our Sponsor Workshop on Sunday, Nov. 12, from 12:45-1:45 in the Berman Room, Fromm Hall.

As a sponsor you will be accompanying someone who is preparing to become a fully incorporated member of the Catholic Church.

With your support, encouragement, and guidance, your sponsee learns what it means to be Catholic, discovers the rich tradition of our Church, and is awakened to a new way of living. During the gradual process of initiation, with you at their side, a person grows in knowledge of Catholic teachings, explores the relevance of Scripture to daily life, learns to pray and worship in the Catholic tradition, develops friendships with members of our parish, and discovers the joy of service.
