At all Masses on the weekend of September 14 and 15, we will be collecting items for The Gubbio Project an organization that provides houseless guests with daily provisions, supplies, and chaplaincy necessary for those living on the streets. They are requesting blankets, wet wipes, toothpaste and brushes, deodorant, women’s hygiene products and razors.
Simple Needs Sundays are regular Parish collection drives in support of the most basic and urgent needs of our homeless and struggling neighbors. Essential everyday items that are in constant need and short supply on the streets, like toiletries, socks and underwear, or a warm jacket and cap in the winter, are collected on a rotating basis at Masses on the second Sunday of most months. These are distributed locally through various Catholic service agencies directly to those most in need.
