The Shelter Meal Program at St. Ignatius Parish is having its annual Thanksgiving Pie Drive on Sunday, November 24th. This year our partner is Bay View Senior Services.
With your support, we’ll provide 125 homemade or purchased apple or sweet potato pies to Bay View Senior Services, providing approximately 1000 desserts for low-income older adults and adults with disabilities on Thanksgiving Day.
Please contribute by either: donating one or more homemade or store-bought pies; or donating money to purchase pies: $30 buys one and $50 buys two pies at Yvonne’s Southern Sweets, a local, minority-owned bakery in the Bayview Hunters Point neighborhood, where we’ll buy the pies.
You may bring a pie that you bought or baked, or you may bring a donation (checks payable to St. Ignatius Parish or you may bring cash), to the 10 am Mass on Sunday, November 24. We will collect the pies and donations at the Parker Avenue doors.
Thank you, and have a great Thanksgiving!
