We are very excited about a brand new program. Our new Youth Ministry Program serves youth, ages 8 to 18, and their need for connection in the context of faith, service and community.
Faith Connection: The Youth Ministry Program emphasizes the love and compassion of the Lord and incorporates teaching based on the Sunday readings. Teaching Masses deepens students' understanding of liturgy and worship; a monthly Family Mass fosters inclusivity and intergenerational connection; and Spiritual Retreats offer opportunities for deeper reflection and inner growth.
Service and Connection with Diverse Communities: Through service and connecting with diverse communities, our youth will better understand the world around them and their role in creating a more just world. These experiences empower them to embody the values of service, justice, and love in their everyday lives. Monthly service projects, seasonal collections for the less fortunate, and, for older teens, domestic and foreign immersion programs are important parts of this program.
Personal Connection: With a focus on human connection, the Youth Ministry Program creates a safe and supportive space for teenagers to flourish. Through this program, they'll explore age-appropriate big questions about their place in the world while being nurtured in a supportive community. The program will focus on building foundations and connections through regular, fun Youth Group gatherings with peers, as well as engaging families and adult volunteers, inviting guest speakers, and offering monthly check-ins, summer activities and athletics.
